Perfect for curious minds of all ages—come see how science has evolved and where it’s headed next!
A small marquee will be placed in front of Kinneil House (which will itself be open for free self-guided tours from 10am to 4pm), hosting a performance from the Glasgow Science Centre called ‘Castles Rock!’ – a dynamic show developed in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland (HES), blending geology, history, and science in a fun and engaging way – and delving into the science and engineering which underpin Scotland’s amazing castles. This fun, interactive science show will bring castles to life, from their construction to destruction, and how to preserve the castles that remain. This free half-hour show will be performed 3 times throughout the event – at 11.30am, 12.15pm and 2pm.
